No Kings Every Day

I'm sure by now there's been a good deal of coverage of the recent demonstrations over the admin here in the good old USA.

While I do share the general sentiment behind the protests or demonstrations or whatever term one prefers, I am not often inclined to participate directly on account of a general dislike of crowds, personally, I do, however, hope that they achieve their intended purpose.

For my contribution to that end, I can do things like this blog. Not just this specific post, but the whole damn thing like I've been doing for going on fifteen years now. Or my YouTube channel, as another example. Hell, even my dA page, for as full of crap as it might be, counts, though I might do better to promote my AO3 archive instead.

Basically, this is my own little way of protesting, rebelling on a somewhat regular basis. Producing the kind of content I want to see, even if those in power don't want to see it.

That's part of the reason why I support some of the other content creators I do, as well. I like their work, of course, which is the main reason. But it also really helps that they see the world sort of the way I do, which annoys the hell out of those in power.

So I'm going to keep writing, doing videos, making shit art, and supporting my favorite creators because that's as good a way of sticking it to the man as any.

And who knows, maybe we'll even get a Lufia remake out of all this.
