Or: Fast Motion Speech
So I did manage to get a test run for my podcast done while I had a little time today. Didn’t go quite as planned, but I still learned a thing or two. The good news is that I kinda-sorta know how to use Sound Recorder, which is the audio recording software built into Windows 11, and that it recognizes my webcam well enough to at least record something like audio from it. Bad news is, this is how my first attempt came out:

Or, if there’s no actual embed there, check it out on Soundcloud here. I kind of sound like a chipmunk, or like somebody hit “play” and “fast forward” on a cassette player at the same time. Looks like I still have some figuring out to do there.
I’m pretty sure I’ve found the video version of that as well, but I’ve got some looking and messing around to do there, too, so it might be awhile before I get to that. I’ve got plenty of stuff to work with on that front, at least, so stay tuned there.
But like I was saying, it might be awhile yet. I’ve got a few things to work through and sort out offline right now, too, and I’m sure that’s going to take a bit.
