I mentioned this in a previous post, so I may as well get on with it.
As I hope I managed to get across in that one, we did spend a fair amount of time on the beach when my mom and I went to visit my brother and sister-in-law recently. While we were there, we also visited a couple national parks or monuments and did the hotel's “ghost tour” because it was a historic building or complex or whatever and supposedly haunted. I'll do a separate post about the parks because there's a decent story and a handful of pictures.
I didn't do any pictures of my own on the tour because there's supposed to be merch for it, I think. It was interesting to learn a little history of the place, even if the subject of the tour was supposed to be how the place was haunted by the ghost of a lady who offed herself while staying there at the start of the 20th century. My brother did get a picture of the tour host that he sent me:
The host is the lady in the black dress, but it seems there's a good shot of me dressed all fancy and going in the other direction in that picture, too.
We also had a nice meal at one of the eating places there. It was a little pricy, but worth it. I had a nice grilled shrimp and rice entrée and I also quite liked the rockfish gru appetizer we shared. We also had pizza from one of the on-site shops one night, which was pretty good too.
We had some good conversations about things while we had the chance, too, some of which might be topics of later posts. No promises, of course, but the potential is there.
There is one more thing I want to do from this trip, but that's going to be its own post, which hopefully, I'll get out soon now that I've gotten some other things taken care of. See you soon.
